NATIONAL SENIORS DAY
Buffet des Continents delivers $28,238 to organizations helping seniors
LAVAL – As part of National Seniors Day, some 4,475 seniors enjoyed a free lunch at one of the six Buffet des Continents restaurants in exchange for making a donation. Organized in partnership with FADOQ (Quebec Federation of Senior Citizens). This occasion brought in a total of $28,238 for regional senior charitable organizations.
“Organizations that help seniors also need to be supported in their activities. These needs are growing in Quebec because of increased life expectancy. In such a context, it is important to assist organizations that provide aid, support, meals, activities and recreational opportunities to the seniors who helped build the high-quality society in which we live today,” explains Tony Priftakis, speaking on behalf of the Buffet des Continents restaurant chain.
Founded more than 15 years ago, the Buffet des Continents restaurant chain has demonstrated strong community commitment from the outset through its support of charitable organizations and social, sports and community activities.
These social commitments transcend the values of the entire chain, its owners, and employees. Buffet des Continents is involved in a large number of community, social and sports associations, and supports charitable organizations throughout the year, including a volunteer appreciation evening and a non-perishable food drive during the holiday season.
